_ _ <br /> (tommitttt Z port <br /> ZONING AND ANNEXATION COMMITTEE <br /> 'go tit QCOmm0n QCOUtttii Of t jt QCitg Of t°Utij tttb: <br /> The April 11, 1994 meeting of the Zoning and Annexation Committee was called to <br /> order by its chairperson, Councilmember Lee Slavinskas at 5:00 p.m. in the <br /> Council Informal Meeting Room. <br /> Persons in attendance included Luecke,Washington, Kelly, Puzzello, Slavinskas, <br /> Zakrzewski, Coleman,Duda, and Ladewski; Jenny Pitts Manier,Don Porter, Mike <br /> Dansch, Karen Orlicki, John Byorni,Anthony Zappia,Kathleen Cakanski-Farrand. <br /> Councilmember Slavinskas noted that the first item on the agenda was to review <br /> substitute Bill No. 12-94 which is a rezoning request for the property located at <br /> 3901 Lincoln Way West. Mr. John Byorni noted that the proposed Bill was <br /> received a favorable recommendation from both the Area Plan Staff and the <br /> Commission. <br /> Mr. Anthony Zappia,the attorney for the petitioner,then made the presentation. He <br /> noted that the"C-1"commercial"A"height and area designation is being requested <br /> so that the petitioner may reestablish a florist shop at 3901 Lincoln Way West. She <br /> is currently renting a facility also located on Lincoln Way West. <br /> Councilmember Ladewski spoke in favor of the proposed Bill. Councilmember <br /> Zakrzewski,the District Councilmember noted that he has known the petitioner for <br /> several years and spoke highly of the proposed florist shop. <br /> Following further discussion, Councilmember Zakrzewski made a motion, <br /> seconded by Councilmember Washington, that Substitute Bill No. 12-94 be <br /> recommended favorably to Council. The motion passed. <br /> Ii <br /> The Committee then reviewed Substitute Bill No. 13-94 which is a rezoning request <br /> for the property located in the 3400 block of North Bendix Drive. <br /> h proposed rezoning Mr. John Byorni noted that the p op g received a favorable <br /> recommendation from both Area Plan Staff and the Commission. <br /> Mr. Mike Dansch made the presentation on behalf of the petitioner. He noted that <br /> the rezoning request is being made so that the new main office for Sobieski Federal <br /> Savings and Loan Association may be established at that location. It requires a"C" <br /> commercial zoning designation. <br /> Following further discussion, Councilmember Zakrzewski made a motion, <br /> seconded by Councilmember Washington, that Substitute Bill No. 13-94 be <br /> recommended favorably to Council.
