COMMUNICATION
MULTI-FACETED
APPROACH
Since 2005, A&Z has been building a firm that offers well over 250 years of combined
experience to our clients. We know that with experience comes a better ability to find
innovative solutions to complications-should they arise. Our newest staff bring with them
fresh perspectives and ideas while learning from the expertise of our veterans. Mark Voss,
A&Z’s proposed PM for Coal Line Trail Phase IIB, is one of our seasoned staff members -
boasting 22 years of experience. He has worked extensively managing construction projects.
Notably, Mark has supervised and managed well over 50 LPA/INDOT projects. Mark and the
A&Z team have the expertise and the capacity to see this project to fruition.
A&Z prides itself on offering more than a job well done, and we only sleep well at night when
our clients do. A&Z knows that prompt responses and clear communication is what keeps a
project rolling, so our PMs offer our stakeholders multiple avenues for communication,
including a direct line. We also employ creative collaboration techniques, like bi -weekly
meetings with virtual options for the convivence of our busiest stakeholders. On top of this, we
have been known to provide monthly status reports, newsletters, and website updates to keep
the public and our clients in the loop. Using strategies like these, Mark and his team have built
positive relationships with PMs across the state, and they are eager to foster the same in
South Bend, IN. Finnian Cavanaugh, the City of South Bend’s PM, can expect to receive the
same exceptional responsiveness and collaborative spirit on the Coal Line Trail Phase IIB
project
A&Z has a reputation for tackling all projects with a multi-faceted approach. Like all firms, we
focus on the end-product, but A&Z Engineering also includes the budget, the schedule, the
community, and the environment to provide a truly positive experience. A&Z fully assesses
the client’s needs and wants along with the demands of the job. In the “Project Experience”
section of this proposal, we have highlighted several instances of our dedication to
considering all elements of a project. Mark and his team have already conducted a
preliminary site visit to inform and prepare a multi -faceted approach that ensures the
satisfaction of The City of South Bend.
For the Coal Line Trail Phase II B project, we see the need for as much local involvement as
possible, which is why we have chosen McCormick Engineering, LLC-located right in South
Bend, Indiana-as a key DBE partner.
