Qtommittu Z port: <br /> Parks and Recreation Committee <br /> �o tljt €ommon COI==il of at City of 6outt *ub: <br /> The August 8, 1994 meeting of the Parks and Recreation Committee was called to <br /> order by its Chairperson, Council Member Cleo Washington at 3:50 p.m. in the Council <br /> informal meeting room. <br /> Persons in attendance Council members: Luecke, Kelly, Puzzello, Slavinskas, <br /> Coleman, Washington, Duda, Ladewski; Phil St Claire, Mike Garbasey, Randy Nowicki, <br /> Don Porter, and Kathleen Cekanski-Farrand. <br /> Council Member Washington noted that the main item to be reviewed by the <br /> Committee was Bill No.79-94 which would approve the sale of Park Property. <br /> Mr. Phil St Claire, Superintendent of the the Department of Public Parks made the <br /> presentation.He noted that the Bill would approve the sale of one of the two lots adjacent <br /> to Elbel Golf Course to Mr. William J. Krizman. Mr. Krizman was determined to be the <br /> highest and best bidder by the Board of Public Works. <br /> It was noted that the highest bid was $20,000.00. If this Bill is approved the <br /> monies would be used for a storage building for golf carts. It was noted that the funds <br /> would go into the Capital Improvement Fund. <br /> Council Members Slavinskas,Puzzello, and Luecke voiced concern with regard to <br /> whether the funds would automatically go for capital improvements or whether another <br /> ordinance was necessary. <br /> Mr. St Claire stated that he would check into this matter and have a report by this <br /> evenings meeting. <br /> Following further discussion, Council Member Slavinskas, made a motion, <br /> seconded by Council Member Coleman that Bill No. 79-94 be recommended favorably to . <br /> Council.The motion passed. <br /> There being no further business to come before the committee, the meeting was <br /> adjourned at 4:00 p.m. <br /> Respectfully submitted, <br /> Council Member Cleo Washington Chairperson <br /> Parks and Recreation Committee <br /> Attachments <br /> KCF:ds <br />
