Committee Report <br /> Personnel and Finance <br /> August 18, 1994 <br /> Page 4 <br /> The Council Attorney noted that the Promotional Allowance of$5,807.00 should <br /> again be double checked since it is listed for hourly employees. Mr. Scarbuck was to <br /> recalculate this account. <br /> MOTOR VEHICLES HIGHWAY FUND 1994 = $4,237,371.00 <br /> 1995 = $4,416,255.00 <br /> Mr. Sam Hensley then provided extensive handouts on the MVH Fund and <br /> provided an overview. <br /> He noted that with the new gas pumps being installed that one Radio Dispatcher II <br /> and two Radio Dispatcher I full-time position and benefits will be eliminated and three part- <br /> time positions will be eliminated. He also noted that with the new system of not allowing <br /> vehicles to idle that it will save approximately$95,000.00 in gasoline in 1995. <br /> Mr. Hensley noted that an answering machine will be used when the dispatchers are <br /> eliminated. <br /> It was noted that the second entry for the " Good Driving Bonus of $9,000.00 " <br /> should be eliminated and Mr. Scarbuck was directed to recalculate this account. A Good <br /> Driving Bonus is part of the Teamsters agreement which requires no accidents for a period <br /> of 2 years and 11 months. <br /> BUILDING MAINTENANCE 1994 = $5,869,086.00 <br /> 1995 = $5,773,689.00 <br /> Mr. Hensley then reviewed his handouts on the Building Maintenance Fund. He <br /> noted that this is primarily for the maintenance of the MSF Building and Grounds. <br /> Following questions of Mr. Hensley, Council Member thanked all of the Public <br /> Works Staff for their presentation of the last several days. <br /> A budget comparison for the Water Works was then distributed to the Committee <br /> Members(copy attached) <br /> Mr. Hensley noted that the Cooper Street Bridge to Twyckenham is currently <br /> behind reconstructed.
