Committee Report <br /> ZONING AND VACATION COMMITTEE <br /> To the Common Council of the City of South Bend: <br /> The June 14, ; 1993, meeting of the Zoning and Vacation <br /> Committee was :called to order by its' Chairperson, Council <br /> Member Lee Slavinskas, at 4:15 p.m. in the Council Informal <br /> Meeting Room. <br /> Persons in attendance included Council Members Luecke, <br /> Washington, Kelly, Puzzello, Slavinskas, Zakrzewski, <br /> Coleman, Duda, Ladewski; Mike Dansch, John Byorni, Don <br /> Porter and Kathleen Cekanski-Farrand. <br /> Council Member Slavinskas noted that the first item on the <br /> agenda was to review Bill No. 26-93 which is a rezoning <br /> request for the South side of Jackson Road, East of Ironwood <br /> Road. <br /> Mr. Mike Dansch made the presentation. He noted that this <br /> is a PUD consisting of three hundred (300) acres and a One <br /> Hundred Million Dollar Project. There will be nine hundred <br /> and eighty-two. (982) condominium and duplexes built and an <br /> additional eleven hundred (1, 100) single family homes. He <br /> then showed copy of the "Staffordshire Estates" preliminary <br /> development site plan (copy attached) . <br /> Mr. John Byorni of the Area Plan staff noted that the <br /> original zoning for the site had expired. Originally, in <br /> 1989, there was a favorable recommendation and again it <br /> comes to the Council with a favorable recommendation. <br /> Following further discussion, Council Member Coleman made a <br /> motion, seconded by Council Member Puzzello, that Bill No. <br /> 26-93 be recommended favorably to Council. The motion <br /> passed. <br /> There being no further business to come before the <br /> Committee, the meeting was ajourned at 4: 30 p.m. <br /> Respectfully submitted, <br /> Council Member Lee Slavinskas <br /> Chairperson <br /> Zoning and Vacation Committee <br /> attachments <br />
