S. Bend Community School Corporation – S. Bend, IN

Page 2 of 19 www.precisionpointinc.com _______
Initials
*If above Ceiling is in scope, ceiling tile removal, replacement, and
clean-up is sole responsibility of Client. PPI will direct client
regarding ceiling tile removal.

ITEMS OF INTEREST (IOI) – on site 3D data capture will be concentrated
on documenting the visible basic architecture (A), and structural (S)
systems needed to create an existing conditions base 3D model.

LEVEL OF ACCURACY (LOA) – Per USIBD Standard Document C220 ver.
2.0 - 2016. Differing LOA will apply to all specified building systems as
follows: LOA 30B-20B-rel (Refer to Exhibit ‘B’).

Measured Accuracy Shall be performed to a LOA30
Represented Accuracy Shall be performed to a LOA30

LEVEL OF DEVELOPMENT (LOD) – Items of interest shall be
documented to allow for the creation of an LOD300 model per AIA
E202-2008. (Refer to Exhibit ‘C’)

SCOPE OF WORK
In performing the 3D laser scanning and/or building documentation services described in the
Proposal (“Services”) consistent with that level of skill and care ordinarily furnished by providers
of 3D laser scanning and building documentation services under the same or similar
circumstances. PPI will determine, in its sole discretion, the means and methods for performing
the Services.

It is our understanding that the client will be using the deliverables as: Design Intent

☒ DESIGN INTENT – Deliverables will be shown as a best fit to the point cloud working within
typical modeling standards. This includes modeling walls at 90 degree angles, perpendicular
to the floor, ceilings and floors as flat horizontal planes, steel members assumed straight and
typical configurations arrayed throughout the site. Piping, conduit and HVAC features will be
modeled as straight and orthogonal objects. This is ideal for generating typical cleaner 2D
drawings and allow for easier dimensioning of the scan area. However, scan data will not be
followed to necessarily reflect “real world” conditions. The majority of clients utilize Design
Intent.

☐ AS-BUILT – Deliverables will be shown as close to real world conditions as possible, limited
only by field conditions and equipment specifications. This could include showing actual wall
plumbness, path and sag of pipes or conduits, floor or ceiling flatness and camber or shifting of
steel members. This option is not ideal for most design projects. Dimensioning will not be easy
within most software. This option should be selected when “real world” conditions need to be
captures as much as possible. Most clients who select this option are interested in forensic
analysis, fabrication, detail of fittings and bolt hole patterns, deformation and similar purposes.
DocuSign Envelope ID: AD573822-6EB6-43FA-9F1F-743C8A6D3FB4
