The project scope called for the cross-slope of the courts to be adjusted <br />from north-south to east-west to accommodate installation of a new drainage structure at the <br />west end of the courts. <br /> <br />The estimated quantities included in the contract were not sufficient, as more earthwork was <br />required to achieve positive drainage towards the new drainage structure. The added earthwork <br />also resulted in more edge grading required to achieve smooth traversable surface around the <br />court. <br />
