Committee Report <br /> UTILITIES COMMITTEE <br /> To the Common Council of the City of South Bend: <br /> The March 22 , 1993 meeting of the Utilities Committee was <br /> called to order by Vice Chairperson Council Member Eugene <br /> Ladewski at 4 : 05 p.m. in the Council Informal Meeting Room. <br /> Persons in attendance included Council Members: Duda, <br /> Ladewski, Puzzello, Coleman, Slavinskas, and Luecke; Don <br /> Porter and Kathleen Cekanski-Farrand. <br /> Council Member Ladewski noted that in the absence of Council <br /> Member Zakrzewski that he would move ahead with the meeting. <br /> The main item on the agenda was to review Bill No. 93-29 <br /> which is a Resolution regarding the use of surplus bond <br /> proceeds from the Sewage Works Revenue Bonds of 1989 . It <br /> was noted that there was no presenter from the City <br /> Administration present. <br /> Council Member Slavinskas stated that it is his <br /> understanding that a surplus of $520, 000. 00 remains unspent <br /> from the 1989 Sewage Works Revenue Bond issue. A press <br /> conference held this morning, which he attended with the <br /> Mayor, it was noted that drainage problems affecting Erskine <br /> Plaza, Chippewa Street, and the Erskine Golf Course would be <br /> addressed with a portion of those funds. <br /> Following discussion, Council Member Puzzello made a motion, <br /> seconded by Council Member Slavinskas, that Resolution No. <br /> 93-29 be recommended favorably to Council. The motion <br /> passed. <br /> There being no further business to come before the <br /> Committee, the meeting was adjourned at 4 : 15 p.m. <br /> Respectfully Submitted, <br /> Council Member Eugene Ladewski <br /> Vice Chairperson, Utilities Committee <br />
