Guidebook Chapin Park Local Historic District <br />Page 96 <br />Duties of Historic District <br />Liaison Committee Members <br />1. Work and communicate with the residents of the district and the Historic Preservation <br />Commission. <br />2. Inform and give recommendations to area residents pertaining to the district’s standards. <br />a. Meet with new property owners and distribute the standards book along with other <br />pertinent information. <br />b. Notify the Commission of the names and addresses of new owners. <br />3. Advise Commission of any possible infractions of the historic district standards that may <br />occur with the property owners and work with them toward a solution to the problem. <br />4. Hold liaison committee meetings once every four months or as situations arise. <br />a. Keep records of all business conducted during these meetings and all other meetings <br />called by the historic district liaison committee. <br />b. Disseminate pertinent information to the district property owners through whatever <br />means available, such as a neighborhood newsletter, flyer, etc. <br />5. At least one representative of the committee attend the monthly Historic Preservation <br />Commission meeting. <br />6. Participate in the scheduled revisions and updating of the historic district standards. <br />7. Make an annual report to the Commission at one of the regularly scheduled meetings.
