Page 1 <br />(Exhibit A – Engineer’s Services) <br />EJCDC E-500 Agreement Between Owner and Engineer for Professional Services <br />Copyright © 2008 National Society of Professional Engineers for EJCDC. All rights reserved. <br />This is EXHIBIT A, consisting of 7 pages, referred to <br />in and part of the Agreement between Owner <br />and Engineer for Professional Services dated June 7 , <br />2022 . Engineer’s Services <br />Article 1 of the Agreement is supplemented to include the following agreement of the parties. <br />Engineer shall provide Basic and Additional Services as set forth below. <br />PART 1 – BASIC SERVICES <br />A1.01 List of Projects: Engineer shall undertake design of the following Owner identified projects: <br />a. Watermain replacement at Grand Trunk Railroad and Greenlawn Avenue Crossing <br />b. Watermain replacement at Grand Trunk Railroad and S. 30 <br />th Street Crossing <br />A1.02 Preliminary Design Phase (30% Design) <br />A. Engineer shall: <br />1. Provide necessary topographic survey and utility mapping for design purposes 150ft on <br />either side of the Street and Railroad Crossing within the street and railroad right-of-way. <br />Utility mapping will be based upon information obtained from utility owners, field <br />observations, subsurface utility investigations and as-built plans. Topographic work will be <br />carried out in Indiana Geospatial Coordinate System, St. Joseph projection. Vertical control <br />will be in NAVD 1988 via Opus. <br />2. Prepare Preliminary Design Phase documents consisting of preliminary drawings, quantity <br />calculations and cost estimates, City and Grand TrunkT Railroad’s standard details and <br />notes. <br />3. Furnish 2 review copies of the Preliminary Design Phase documents and any other <br />deliverables to Owner within 60 calendar days of authorization to proceed with this <br />phase and review them with Owner. Within 14 calendar days of receipt, Owner shall <br />submit to Engineer any comments regarding the Preliminary Design Phase documents and <br />any other deliverables. Submit Preliminary Design Plans to utilities. <br />4. Revise the Preliminary Design Phase documents and any other deliverables in response to <br />Owner’s comments, as appropriate, and furnish to Owner 1 copy of the revised <br />Preliminary Design Phase documents, revised opinion of probable Construction Cost, and <br />any other deliverables within 14 calendar days after receipt of Owner’s comments. <br />B.Engineer’s services under the Preliminary Design Phase will be considered complete on the date <br />when the revised Preliminary Design Phase documents, revised opinion of probable Construction <br />Cost, and any other deliverables have been delivered to Owner.
