<br /> <br />INTER-OFFICE MEMORANDUM <br /> <br /> DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS <br /> DIVISION OF ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES <br /> <br /> <br />TO: Board of Public Works <br />Theresa Heffner, Clerk <br />FROM: Leslie Biek, P.E., Assistant City Engineer <br />SUBJECT: Change Order #1: Signal Detection Improvements PN 120-046 <br />DATE: 5/31/2022 <br />The work at Hickory/Catalpa, Ironwood/Calvert, and Ironwood/Ewing are being eliminated from <br />this project due to the City of Mishawaka not agreeing to cost share with the improvements nor <br />were they willing meet in order to develop a Memorandum of Understanding for the shared <br />responsibilities of shared intersections. <br /> <br />This change order includes the removal of two of the three intersections: <br /> Division 1: Hickory Rd and W Catalpa Dr $29,200.00 <br /> Division 3: S Ironwood Dr and E Calvert St $34,150.00 <br /> <br />The remaining intersection, Ironwood and Ewing, will be forthcoming in a separate change order. <br /> <br />It is requested the Board of Public Works approve Change Order #1 for the Signal Detection <br />Improvements project (PN 120-046) for a reduction of $63,350.00 to the project bringing the <br />new contract price to $102,904.00. <br /> <br />Thank you for your consideration of this request. <br /> <br />
