Mike Maryott – Project Manager <br />Mike is a graduate of the University of Nebraska and has been involved in construction projects for over a decade. A previous focus on <br />sports and stadium projects worldwide, he brings international operations experience to our team. In a project management role for <br />Viking, he meshes that knowledge into the world of water tanks. <br />Jim Caldwell – Project Manager <br />Jim has been a project manager for almost 20 years. He is both NACE-Certified Coating Inspector Level 3 and SSPC-Lead Paint <br />Removal (C3) Certified. His vast knowledge of project management, problem solving, and exceptional communication skills are an asset <br />to Viking. Jim’s organizational skills and ability to effectively task manage enable him to work on many projects at once. <br />Meshari Al Bin Essa – Project Coordinator <br />Meshari was born and raised in Saudi Arabia and moved to the U.S. in 2014 to attend the University of Nebraska – Lincoln. There he <br />obtained his bachelor's degree in Construction Management with a minor in Business. He started with Viking in 2021 as a project <br />coordinator. His attention to detail in getting jobs set is what makes things run smoothly. <br />Brandon VanderMey – Sales Manager <br />Upon graduation from St. Cloud State University in central Minnesota, Brandon began his career with the Sherwin Williams Paint <br />Company. He held several positions over 17 years with Sherwin Williams, including Store Manager, Professional Coatings Sales <br />Representative, and Protective and Marine Coatings Sales Representative. In 2016, Brandon began working specifically in the water tank <br />maintenance industry, working primarily with municipalities and rural water districts in the upper Midwest. Brandon is a NACE Level 2 <br />Coatings Inspector and enjoys consulting with his present and future clients to ensure their tanks are safe, sanitary, and maintained to <br />maximize their overall service life. <br />Rick Penner—Field Sales Representative <br />Rick began working in the coatings industry upon graduation from Kansas State University. He started his career with the Sherwin- <br />Williams Co. in South Central Kansas and held numerous positions over 10 years including Operations Manager, Professional Coatings <br />Representative, and Industrial Coatings Representative. In 1999 he began working for a firm representing the Tnemec Co. in Kansas. For <br />the next 18 years he consulted with contractors, engineers, and owners in the industrial coatings industry, with an emphasis in the water <br />tank market. Since 2017, Rick has been working specifically in the water tank maintenance market in Kansas, Missouri, Oklahoma, and <br />Nebraska. Rick has been active in numerous professional organizations over the years including being a member of Kansas Rural Water <br />for the last 20 years. He completed his NACE Level 3 training in 1996. <br />Rob Jongquist – Field Sales Representative <br />Rob began his work in the paint and coatings industry in 1999 while still in high school. For 21 years, he held several positions for both <br />the Sherwin Williams Company and the Carboline Company. Since 2014, Rob has focused solely on protective coatings, tank linings, and <br />industrial fireproofing coatings serving the states of Iowa and Nebraska. In 2021, Rob joined our team with a focus specifically on water <br />tower inspection and maintenance in the State of Iowa. He is a NACE Certified Coatings Inspector and is knowledgeable in both condition <br />assessment and coating specification. Rob serves his community as the Assistant Fire Chief of the Palo Fire Department in Palo, Iowa <br />Jordan Ricks - Field Sales Representative <br />Jordan started his career at Cerner in Kansas City as a technical consultant. In his most recent role, he travelled Missouri, Kansas, and <br />Oklahoma as a manufacturer’s rep in the oil and gas industry. His technical experience has fostered a consultative approach with his <br />customers and is an asset to his customers in Missouri. Jordan recently moved back to his hometown of St. Louis, Missouri after <br />spending 7 years in Kansas City. As a lifelong Missourian, Jordan is an avid Blues and Chiefs fan. He will use his local knowledge and <br />Viking’s experience and resources to improve and maintain water tanks throughout the state of Missouri. Jordan is a graduate of the <br />University of Alabama with a degree in Management Information Systems.
