McBride, Troy Warner, Eli Wax <br />Other Council Absent: Rachel Tomas Morgan <br />Others Present: Dawn Jones, James Snodgrass <br />Presenters: Angela Smith, Joe Molnar <br />Agenda: Update -Zoning Use Table Reforms, Joe Molner. Department <br />of Community Investment <br />Full audio dialogue of the meeting is available upon request from the City Clerk's Office. <br />Committee Chair Lori Hamman called to order the Community Relations Committee <br />meeting at 4:30 p.m. <br />Clerk Jones responds with roll call of five (5) present. <br />Committee Chair Hamman invites Angela Smith to present. <br />Angela Smith, Zoning, 14th Floor City of South Bend, Informed the council on the Six (6) Text <br />Amendaments as a working document. Update to keep zoning not a barrier to development <br />through agricultural and perimeters. <br />Committee Chair Hamman inquires about the limitations around building heights in the city. <br />Angela Smith informs the chair that building heights are based on zones and districts. The <br />downtown district has a higher level for building heights. <br />Committee Member Henry Davis Jr., inquires about the aim of the zoning and the result of the <br />updates. <br />Angela Smith responds that zoning is based on the city of South Bend as well as updating the <br />policy based on technology.
