Page 1 of 1 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />INTER-OFFICE MEMORANDUM <br /> <br /> DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS <br /> DIVISION OF ENGINEERING <br />TO: Theresa Heffner, Clerk <br />Board of Public Works <br />FROM: Zach Hurst, Project Engineer <br /> <br />SUBJECT: Open Market Contract - Project No. 121-021 <br />Sibley Center Exterior Renovations <br />DATE: 05/06/2022 <br />On January 11, 2022, the Board of Public Works opened and read bids for the above project. <br /> <br />No bids were received; however, Slatile Roofing and Sheet Metal submitted a bid after the 9:00 <br />A.M. deadline for submission, which provided a starting point for open market negotiations. R <br />Yoder Construction and Ziolkowski Construction were contacted and requested to submit a <br />price for the base bid to perform window replacement and masonry repair. <br /> <br />Both contractors declined to submit a price, noting they had full schedules for the 2022 <br />construction season. Slatile was able to submit a base bid price within budget, while also <br />meeting the required M/WBE goals of 3.4% and 4.5%, respectively. <br /> <br />I recommend award of the base bid for Sibley Center Exterior Renovations to Slatile Roofing <br />and Sheet Metal, in the amount of $218,000.00. Funding is available through PR-00013644. <br /> <br />
