fgammm#trr Expromi <br /> Zoning and Vacation Committee <br /> ala tie (gammon Olouurtt of tip Q ttij of Onut Brut_ <br /> The June 24, 1991 meeting of the Zoning and Vacation <br /> Committee was called to order by its Chairperson Council <br /> Member Lee Slavinskas at 4:45 p.m. in the Council Informal <br /> Meeting Room. <br /> Persons in attendance included Council Members Zakrzewski, <br /> Duda, Coleman, Luecke, Niezgodski, Soderberg, Puzzello, <br /> Slavinskas, and Ladewski; Tony Zappia, Jenia Tschumackow, <br /> Mr. & Mrs. Donald Ohlmeyer, Mr. John Byorni, Don Porter, and <br /> Kathleen Cekanski-Farrand. <br /> Council Member Slavinskas noted that the purpose of the <br /> meeting was to discuss Bill No. 15-91 which is a proposed <br /> re-zoning for the property located at 1612 South Bend <br /> Avenue. <br /> Mr. Zappia, the attorney for the Petitioner noted that this <br /> Bill is a request to re-zone from "A" Residential "A" Height <br /> and area to "C-1" Commercial "A" height and area. He noted <br /> that currently it is a residential property which has had <br /> three different tenants in the last four years. He stated <br /> that the highest and best use of the property is for <br /> professional office -uses. He noted that they are currently <br /> consulting with a local dentist and doctor to move into the <br /> facility. <br /> Council Member Puzzello questioned whether the current home <br /> would be utilized. She was advised that the current 1800 <br /> sq. ft. structure would be utilized for the professional <br /> office. <br /> A preliminary site plan was then shown to the committee. <br /> Mr. John Byorni noted that the staff has no problem with the <br /> proposed offices and noted that it was amended to <br /> specifically provide for professional office use only. He <br /> also noted that at the public hearing held on May 21, 1991 <br /> the Area Plan Commission sent a favorable recommendation. <br /> Following further discussion Council Member Coleman made a <br /> motion seconded by Council President Niezgodski that Bill <br /> No. 15-91 be recommended favorably to Council. <br /> Council Member Slavinskas noted that he recently received a <br /> proposed draft of the "0" Zoning Bill from the staff of the <br /> Area Plan Commission. He stated that he would be reviewing <br /> this preliminary draft with the Council Attorney in the near <br /> future and then would be updating the Committee. <br />
