fllnmmittre, Srpart <br /> ZONING AND VACATION COMMITTEE <br /> inn tl�e <br /> Unman Qlounrtt of the OitR of l'uutil Ninth: <br /> The April 8, 1991 Meeting of the Zoning and Vacation <br /> Committee was called to order by its Chairperson, Council <br /> Member Lee Slavinskas at 5:18 p.m. in the Council Informal <br /> Meeting Room. <br /> Persons in attendance included Council Members Zakrzewski, <br /> Ladewski, Puzzello, Duda, Niezgodski, Luecke, Soderberg, and <br /> Slavinskas; John Byroni, Don Porter, William Lainey, Chris <br /> Matteo, and Kathleen Cekanski-Farrand. <br /> Council Member Slavinskas noted that the first item on the <br /> agenda was to review Bill No. 13-91 which is a rezoning for <br /> the properties located at 1112, 1118, and 1122 South <br /> Ironwood Drive. <br /> The property owners are Dr. John F. Powell, Dr. Brian <br /> Moloney, and Dr. Gerald Myers. They are desiring to have the <br /> property rezoned from "A" Residential A-Heightened Area to <br /> "B" Residential B-Heightened Area. <br /> Mr. William Lainey then reviewed these requests for <br /> rezoning. He noted that at the March 28, 1991 meeting with <br /> the Board of Zoning Appeals, that the setback variance was <br /> granted to allow 11 parking spaces. The overall purpose is <br /> for the development of the professional doctors office. <br /> Mr. Byorni of the Area Plan Commission noted that the <br /> petitioners would improve the alley and install necessary <br /> driveways. <br /> Following further discussion, Council Member Luecke made a <br /> motion seconded by Council President Niezgodski that Bill <br /> No. 13-91 be recommended favorably to Council. The motion <br /> passed. <br /> The Committee then reviewed Bill No. 19-91 which requests <br /> the vacation of the first North/South alley east of Frances <br /> Street in Hull's Subdivision. Mr. Chris Matteo gave the <br /> presentation. He noted that the vacation was necessary in <br /> conjunction with the Lafayette Square Townhouses. <br /> Council Member Puzzello complimented Mr. Matteo with regard <br /> to his development within the inner city. <br /> Following further discussion, Council Member Zakrzewski made <br /> a motion seconded by Council Member Luecke that Bill No. 19- <br /> 91 be recommended favorably to Council. The motion passed. <br />
