Mr. Roos noted that the final CHAS is required <br /> by October 31. HUD will then have a maximum of 60 days to <br /> approve such monies. If money is appropriated by Congress, <br /> the program can be in effect by January 1, 1992. <br /> Council Member Ladewski questioned the status of the Housing <br /> Allowance program. Mr. Roos noted that Hollis Hughes is <br /> currently wearing two hats, one as Executive Director of the <br /> County Public Housing Group and the other with the Housing <br /> Assistance Office. He noted that there would be no <br /> duplication of efforts. <br /> It was noted that first reading on the resolution would take <br /> place on Monday, August 12 with public hearing and adoption <br /> at the meeting on August 26. Mr. Roos noted that he would <br /> be available for questions or individual meetings with <br /> Council Members to discuss this plan in further detail. <br /> The informal session of the Human Resources and Economic <br /> development Committee ended at 4:55 p.m. <br /> Respectfully Submitted, <br /> Council Member Steve Luecke, Chairperson <br /> Human Resources and Economic Development Committee. <br />
