d <br /> (lntmntttn Komi <br /> PARKS AND RECREATION COMMITTEE <br /> alp the Gomm Mount-it of the QIttij of 1E0030 ilend: <br /> The June 10, 1991 Meeting of the Parks and Recreation <br /> Committee was called to order by its Chairperson, Council <br /> Member Sean Coleman, at 4:50 p.m. in the Council Informal <br /> Meeting Room. <br /> Persons in attendance included Council Members Coleman, <br /> Duda, Zakrzewski, Ladewski, Slavinskas, Puzzello, <br /> Niezgodski, Soderberg, and Luecke; Jon Hunt, Jenny Pitts- <br /> Manier, Richard Morgan, David Roos, Jack Roberts, a member <br /> of the news media, and Kathleen Cekanski-Farrand. <br /> Council Member Coleman noted that the purpose of the meeting <br /> was to review Substitute Bill No. 30-91, which would <br /> transfer property at 1733 East Northside Boulevard from the <br /> Park Department/Park Board to the City of South Bend. <br /> Mr. Roos noted that the City has been working on this <br /> transfer of property for approximately 2 and 1/2 years. It <br /> would transfer Park property to facilitate the relocation of <br /> the Army to the former Maple Lane School site, to allow the <br /> expansion of IUSB. <br /> Council Member Luecke questioned whether there were any deed <br /> restrictions involved, and was advised that there were none. <br /> Council Member Luecke also questioned whether compensation <br /> was involved in the transfer, and was advised that it would <br /> be nominal in amount. <br /> Following further discussion, Council Member Soderberg made <br /> a motion seconded by Council Member Puzzello that Substitute <br /> Bill No. 30-91 be recommended favorably to Council. The <br /> motion passed. <br /> There being no futher business to come before the Committee, <br /> the meeting was adjourned at 4:55 p.m. <br /> Respectfully submitted, <br /> Council Member Sean Coleman, Chaiperson <br /> Parks and Recreation Committee <br />
