2022 ORGANIZATIONAL MEETING: ELECTION OF OFFICERS FOR 2022 <br /> Bianca Tirado nominated Chair Rachel Tomas Morgan as Chair of the CCAC for 2022. Pam <br /> Claeys seconded the nomination. All attendees were in favor. The nominations were closed, and <br /> Chair Rachel Tomas Morgan was acclaimed as Chair of the CCAC for 2022. <br /> Chair Rachel Tomas Morgan nominated Clerk Dawn Jones, or a designee of the Clerk's Office, as <br /> recorder for the CCAC. Jay Caponigro seconded the nomination. The nominations were closed, <br /> and Clerk Dawn Jones was acclaimed as recorder for the CCAC for 2022. <br /> UPDATES AND INPUT FROM MEMBER ORGANIZATION REPRESENTATIVES <br /> Marlaina Johns reported that volunteers could participate in neighborhood cleanups starting in <br /> Spring 2022. Those interested in volunteering can contact her for more details. <br /> Andrew Polaniecki reported that Holy Cross College has spoken about safety for juniors and <br /> seniors eligible to live off-campus. Student-athletes are encouraged to share information on their <br /> leases with their coaches before signing them to get a sense of location. Holy Cross College is in <br /> the process of selecting a new president. <br /> Leah Kicinski reported that the University of Notre Dame would be holding a Virtual Landlord <br /> Summit on March 16, 2022. On March 23, 2022, there will be a Virtual Housing Fair. <br /> Jay Caponigro reported that the student government of Notre Dame is organizing a Back the Bend <br /> fundraising event on April 2, 2022. Robinson Center is hosting a vaccination clinic on February <br /> 19,2022.The traditional anniversary event will not be held this year due to COVID-19.There will <br /> be two (2) commencements: one for 2022 and one for 2020, which was postponed due to the <br /> pandemic. <br /> Thomas Russell Stevick reported that Indiana University South Bend (IUSB) plans job fairs and <br /> commencement. Commencement may be moved to the IUSB campus. Thomas Russell Stevick <br /> stated that he would appreciate it if the CCAC would talk about public transportation. <br /> Kayla Isenbletter reported that the Safety Committee of IUSB recently performed a safety walk <br /> with police to identify any areas of concern, such as lighting. The Philanthropy Committee is <br /> organizing a benefit dinner to support the emergency student relief fund for March 31,2022. There <br /> will be a polar plunge for the Special Olympics. There was a student-led speak out on diversity <br /> and inclusion in honor of Martin Luther King Day. Preparations will soon begin for the River <br /> Festival and Student Life Awards. A COVID-19 reminder will be sent to students. <br /> Gloria Jenkins reported that COVID-19 numbers have declined at St. Mary's College. There will <br /> be two(2)commencements; a 2022 commencement on May 13,2022,and a 2020 commencement <br /> on May 28, 2022. <br /> Rebekah Go reported that SMC Serves was performed on Martin Luther King Day, where St. <br /> Mary's College worked with non-profits to do community service projects on campus. Students <br /> were taken to the innertube at St. Patrick's Park, and ice skating and a bike ride are coming up. <br /> Students are educated on the impacts of living off-campus for financial aid. <br /> 2 <br />
