The City reserves the right to submit samples of the polyphosphate <br />product to an independent laboratory of the City's choice for chemical, <br />biological, and physical analysis and testing. <br />2. Any product which, in the City's opinion, contains hazardous or <br />deleterious substance or fails to comply with these specifications will be <br />disqualified. <br />3. The cost of this analysis and testing will be incurred by the vendor with <br />the understanding that a maxinnnn of ten samples per year will be <br />submitted. <br />4. Guaranteed minimum available phosphate percentage as PO4 is to be <br />Nighty Three Percent (93016). <br />ix. Other evaluation: <br />1. List of data that confirms products effect on (a) copper, (b) <br />sequestration <br />2. List ofdata that confirms company' experience in other cities and <br />technical support. <br />X. Certified Analysis <br />1. The supplier shall provide a certified chemical analysis of a <br />pyrophosphate product sample taken from the production facilityf•orn <br />which he proposes to supply the City of South Bend. <br />2. He shall fn4her certify analysis to be representative of the product he <br />proposes to provide the City. <br />xi. Performance Requirements <br />1. When applied at a rate yielding not more than four (4) parts of <br />pyrophosphate as PO4 to each part of iron and manganese, the product <br />shall be capable of holding iron and manganese in solution for mo fewer <br />than five (5) days at seventy (70) degrees Fahrenheit in the presence of <br />
