alien ttttrr Nonni <br /> Human Resources and Economic Development Committee <br /> aIo tie (IImmowas Monnrtl of tip (Mg of'nidt4 rnd: <br /> The October 22, 1990 meeting of the Human Resources and <br /> Economic Development Committee was called to order at 5:20 <br /> p.m. by its Chairperson, Council Member Stephen Luecke. <br /> Council Members in attendance included, Luecke, Zakrzewski, <br /> Soderberg, Voorde, Niezgodski, Puzzello, Coleman and Duda. <br /> Others in attendance were Don Porter, Hedy Robinson, Ernest <br /> Szarwark and Joseph Cassidy. <br /> Hedy Robinson presented the report of the Department of <br /> Economic Development concerning the application of Boliden <br /> Metech, Inc. for a five year personal property tax <br /> abatement. The company proposes to buy new machinery which <br /> will expand their ability to reclaim and recycle industrial <br /> precious metals such as contained in electronic circuit <br /> boards. It was 'noted that the property in question meets <br /> the requirements for the tax abatement. Mr. Szarwark and <br /> Mr. Cassidy presented additional information about the <br /> company's operations and answered Council Member's <br /> questions. <br /> Following further discussion, Council Member Voorde made a <br /> motion, seconded by Council Member Zakrzewski, that <br /> Resolution No. 90-60 be sent to Council with a favorable <br /> recommendation. The motion passed unanimously. <br /> There being no further business to come before the <br /> Committee, the meeting was adjourned at 5: 30 p.m. <br /> Respectfully Submitted, <br /> Council Member Steve Luecke, Chairperson <br /> Human Resources and Economic Development Committee <br />
