BILL NO. 08-22 <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 10845-22 <br /> AN ORDINANCE OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND,INDIANA, <br /> APPROPRIATING ADDITIONAL FUNDS FOR CERTAIN DEPARTMENTAL AND CITY <br /> SERVICES OPERATIONS FOR THE YEAR 2022 OF$183,000 FROM THE LAW <br /> ENFORCEMENT CONTINUING EDUCATION FUND(#220),$7,800,000 FROM THE LOCAL <br /> INCOME TAX—ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT FUND(#408), $180,000 FROM THE SEWAGE <br /> WORKS OPERATING FUND (#641),AND $347,697 FROM THE EQUIPMENT/VEHICLE <br /> LEASING FUND (#750) <br /> STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT <br /> The Common Council passed the City's 2022 operating and capital budgets via Ordinance#10814- <br /> 21,passed on October 11,2021,which included expenditures for various City operations. It is now <br /> necessary to appropriate additional funds for operational and capital expenditures necessary for the City to <br /> effect provision of services to its citizens which were not anticipated at the time the City budget was adopted. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE,BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of South Bend, <br /> Indiana,as follows: <br /> Section I. The following amounts are hereby appropriated in fiscal year 2022 and set apart within <br /> the following designated funds for expenditures as follows: <br /> FUND Amount <br /> Law Enforcement Continuing Education (#220) 183,000 <br /> Local Income Tax Economic Development(#408) 7,800,000 <br /> Sewage Works Operating(#641) 180,000 <br /> Equipment/Vehicle Leasing(#750) 347,697 <br /> TOTAL $ 8,510,697 <br /> Section H.
