February 28th, 2022

Dear Valued Customer:

Thank you for continuing to put your trust in Ozinga. We never take for granted the customers we rely
on, and we continue to work hard every day to provide an exceptional level of service. Like many others
in the construction industry, we are facing a host challenging factors that affect the cost of our goods and
services.

We are continuing to see the price of on-highway diesel increase each week. Since January of 2021 the
average price of diesel is up 51% to $3.91/gallon. Over that time frame, we have been able to absorb
those costs with the hope that fuel prices would peak, but the current outlook indicates that fuel costs will
remain high or continue to rise for the foreseeable future.

To provide our customers with the quality service they have come to expect, we will be instituting a fuel
surcharge to all deliveries beginning on March 7th, 2022. Fuel prices will be based on the Department of
Energy Midwest PADD 2 pricing for On-Highway diesel fuel posted on the Monday of the week prior to
aggregate delivery. The specific fuel surcharge percentage will be charged per the attached rate schedule.
Link to the EIA Weekly Prices: https://www.eia.gov/dnav/pet/pet_pri_gnd_dcus_r20_w.htm

We hope this notice will assist in submitting future pricing for jobs coming up to bid. Ozinga will
maintain our commitment to quality and service, and we greatly appreciate your continued business and
support. To be clear, this notice applies only to the Aggregates division of our business and does not
affect the Ready Mix or Cement portions of our business. If you have any questions about the surcharge
or pricing on current jobs, please don’t hesitate to contact me or your sales representative.

Sincerely,

Walt Nashert | Sales Manager
Aggregates
