<br />Version 09/29/2021 Special Provisions - 7 <br /> <br />1. Non-chloride accelerator shall be added to Class A Concrete or Class A High Early <br />Concrete at the City’s request. <br /> <br />a. Each unit of non-chloride accelerator shall correspond to the quantity of additive <br />required to obtain the specified composition (0.5%, 1%, or 2%) per cubic yard of <br />concrete. <br /> <br />b. The payment for adding the non-chloride accelerator will be made for each cubic <br />yard of concrete with the additive ordered. <br /> <br />2. The requirements for 7 Bag PCC Material are as follows: <br /> <br />a. The fine aggregate shall be at least 35% but not more than 45% of the total weight <br />of the aggregate in each cubic yard. Proportions will be based upon SSD <br />aggregates. <br /> <br /> <br />b. The CMD shall produce workable concrete mixtures, with the minimum amount of <br />water, having the following properties: <br /> <br />Minimum Portland cement content 658lbs/cu yd <br />Maximum water/cement ratio 0.45 <br />Minimum Slump 2 in. <br />Air Content 6.5% +/- 1.5% <br />Minimum Flexural Strength, third point loading 300PSI @ 24hr <br />Minimum Flexural Strength, third point loading 500PSI @ 3 days <br /> <br />3. Delivery cost shall be included in the unit cost for each of the following line items within <br />this Division: A-1, A-2, A-3, A-4, and A-5. <br /> <br /> <br />XVI. DIVISION B: AGGREGATE MATERIALS <br /> <br />A. Prevailing specifications/INDOT Standard Specification Section: 301, 302, 303, 621, 904, 914 <br /> <br />B. Additions: <br /> <br />1.
