TamutUbt Ittvart <br />ZONING AND VACATION COMMITTEE <br />Xv t4t Tammon Tounrd of tot (My of *wA# Epnd: <br />The October 9, 1989 meeting of the Zoning and Vacation <br />Committee was called to order by its Chair Person Council <br />Member Lee Slavinskas at 3:40 p.m. in the Council informal <br />meeting room. <br />Persons in attendance included Council Members: Niezgodski, <br />Slavinskas, Luecke, Coleman, Duda, Voorde, Puzzello, <br />Soderberg, and Zakrzewski; Mr. Peter Nemeth, Mr. John Oxian, <br />Mr. David Fritz, Mr. Bruce Zakrzewski, Mr. Imre Brassai, Mr. <br />Edward Hardig, Mr. Richard Nussbaum, Kathy Allen, Mr. Hall, <br />Mr. K. C. Posius, members of the news media, and Kathleen <br />Cekanski - Farrand. <br />The first item on the agenda was to review Bill No. 41 -89 <br />which would rezone the property located at 2004 South <br />Twyckenham. The petitioner noted that the location has had <br />a dental office in it for over 30 years. At the July 18, <br />1989 meeting of the Area Plan Commission it received an <br />unfavorable recommendation. The petitioner received a <br />variance at the September 28, 1989 Board of Zoning Appeals <br />meeting granting a 7 foot instead of a 10 foot requirement <br />regarding set backs. It was noted that 6 cars would be <br />taken off Twyckenham. <br />Council Member Coleman updated the committee with regard to <br />the Area Plan Committee meeting. He noted that the dentist <br />in question is building a new building in the County and <br />would be renting the current office to another dentist. <br />Council Member Coleman stated that he believes that this <br />particular operation is not consistent with the neighborhood <br />and that it should be "A" Residential and not "B" <br />Residential. <br />Council Member Luecke noted that the structure is a home as <br />oppossed to a more commercial type building. <br />Following further discussion Council Member Luecke made a <br />motion seconded by Council. Member Puzzello that Bill No. 41- <br />89 be recommended favorably. The motion passed by a 3 to 1 <br />vote with Council Member Coleman in the minority. <br />Council Member Slavinskas noted that Bill No. 53 -89 which <br />would rezone the properties located at 1405, 1407, 1409, and <br />1413 West Western Avenue was continued in the Council <br />portion at the last Common Council meeting. He noted that <br />at the Area Plan meeting of August 15, 1989 that it came to <br />the Common Council without recommendation. <br />
