TamutUbt Ittvart ZONING AND VACATION COMMITTEE Xv t4t Tammon Tounrd of tot (My of *wA# Epnd: The October 9, 1989 meeting of the Zoning and Vacation Committee was called to order by its Chair Person Council Member Lee Slavinskas at 3:40 p.m. in the Council informal meeting room. Persons in attendance included Council Members: Niezgodski, Slavinskas, Luecke, Coleman, Duda, Voorde, Puzzello, Soderberg, and Zakrzewski; Mr. Peter Nemeth, Mr. John Oxian, Mr. David Fritz, Mr. Bruce Zakrzewski, Mr. Imre Brassai, Mr. Edward Hardig, Mr. Richard Nussbaum, Kathy Allen, Mr. Hall, Mr. K. C. Posius, members of the news media, and Kathleen Cekanski - Farrand. The first item on the agenda was to review Bill No. 41 -89 which would rezone the property located at 2004 South Twyckenham. The petitioner noted that the location has had a dental office in it for over 30 years. At the July 18, 1989 meeting of the Area Plan Commission it received an unfavorable recommendation. The petitioner received a variance at the September 28, 1989 Board of Zoning Appeals meeting granting a 7 foot instead of a 10 foot requirement regarding set backs. It was noted that 6 cars would be taken off Twyckenham. Council Member Coleman updated the committee with regard to the Area Plan Committee meeting. He noted that the dentist in question is building a new building in the County and would be renting the current office to another dentist. Council Member Coleman stated that he believes that this particular operation is not consistent with the neighborhood and that it should be "A" Residential and not "B" Residential. Council Member Luecke noted that the structure is a home as oppossed to a more commercial type building. Following further discussion Council Member Luecke made a motion seconded by Council. Member Puzzello that Bill No. 41- 89 be recommended favorably. The motion passed by a 3 to 1 vote with Council Member Coleman in the minority. Council Member Slavinskas noted that Bill No. 53 -89 which would rezone the properties located at 1405, 1407, 1409, and 1413 West Western Avenue was continued in the Council portion at the last Common Council meeting. He noted that at the Area Plan meeting of August 15, 1989 that it came to the Common Council without recommendation.
