'~�D�1tllt�tt�� arpnrt <br /> PUBLIC WORKS <br /> Mu the (Common Mundt of tip Mtn of*mill gnu): <br /> The August 14, 1989 meeting of the Public Works Committeee <br /> was called to order by its Chair Person Council Member Tom <br /> Zakrzewski at 2:25 p.m. in the council informal meeting <br /> room. <br /> Persons in attendance included Council Members: Puzzello, <br /> Luecke, Niezgodski, Zakrzewski, Duda, Soderberg, and <br /> Coleman: Pat DeClercq, Mike Meeks, John Leszczyski, Jack <br /> Mathews, and Kathleen Cekanski-Farrand. <br /> The first item on the agenda was to review Bill No. 64-89 <br /> which would appropriate $530, 000 for the Local Road and <br /> Street Fund to Project R & S 8904, paving materials, within <br /> the Local Road and Street Fund. <br /> Mike Meeks then presented to the committee a paving and <br /> slurry list of those streets throughout the city which would <br /> be addressed this year (copy attached) . It was noted that <br /> there would be no concrete included within this list. <br /> John Leszczynski noted that several of the pages have blanks <br /> on them. He noted that those areas represent projects which <br /> have been deleted due to lack of funding. The appropriation <br /> ordinance is for materials only. To date appoximately one- <br /> third of the projects listed in the hand out are completed. <br /> Mr. Leszczynski further noted that with regard to concrete <br /> that there is no specific list and that they are projects <br /> specific. Requests should be made to Mike Meeks in this <br /> area. He further noted that the city no longer has a <br /> concrete crew. A total of $50, 000 for concrete improvements <br /> has been identified. <br /> Council Member Luecke questioned streets which were on last <br /> year's which were not completed. It was noted that every <br /> major street was completed this year from last years list. <br /> Following further discussion Council Member Niezgodski made <br /> a motion seconded by Council Member Puzzello that Bill No. <br /> 64-89 be recommended favorably to Council. The motion <br /> passed. <br /> The Committee then reviewed Bill No. 65-89 which would <br /> appropriate $125,000 from the Local Road and Street Fund to <br /> Project R & S 8905 Various Road and Improvements, within the <br /> Local Road and Street Fund. <br /> Mr. Meeks noted that the appropriation is for three <br /> engineering projects. It is anticipated that Federal Aid <br /> Urban Funding would be involved which would allow a 75% <br />
