He concluded by stating that he believed <br /> that a $100.00 fine was not enough and that he would prefer <br /> to it at $1,000. 00. <br /> Assistant Chief Prawat from the Fire Department stated that <br /> he would prefer a no-burn environment but would operate <br /> within the guidelines of the ordinances passed by the Common <br /> Council. <br /> Council Member Niezgodski stressed that the $100. 00 fine was <br /> on a per incident basis. <br /> Council President Puzzello took issue with Mr. Miller's <br /> statements and noted that she had received several phone <br /> calls requesting that the fine be reduced to perhaps $50. 00. <br /> She would not be introducing such an amendment this evening <br /> and stated that she has never taken instructions from the <br /> City Clerk and makes decisions based on the best needs of <br /> the community and her district. <br /> Following further discussion Council Member Niezgodski made <br /> a motion seconded by Council Member Duda that Bill No. 31-89 <br /> as amended be recommended favorably to Council.
