Olammtiirr Ewa <br /> PERSONNEL AND FINANCE COMMITTEE <br /> Wn tilt Common (gonnrtl of eau of 1%310 Ilitob: <br /> The March 28, 1989 meeting of the Personnel and Finance <br /> Committee was called to order by the Chair Person Council . <br /> Member John Voorde at 4 :35 p.m. in the Council informal <br /> meeting room. <br /> Persons in attendance included Council Members: Luecke, <br /> Niezgodski, Soderberg, Puzzello, Slavinskas, Zakrzewski, <br /> Coleman, Duda, and Voorde; Patricia DeClercq, Jack Mathews, <br /> Jenny Pitts Manier, members of the news media and Kathleen <br /> Cekanski-Farrand. <br /> Council Member Voorde noted that the purpose of the meeting <br /> was to review Bill No. 20-89 -which would amend Chapter 6 of <br /> the Municipal Code addressing buildings. <br /> Patricia DeClercq, Director of the Department of Code <br /> Enforcement then reviewed the proposed Bill. , She noted that <br /> the last increase with regard to fee permits for the <br /> building department took place in 1987. The overall <br /> increases represented an average of a 25% increase. She <br /> handed out a listing entitled "Proposed Permit Fee Increase <br /> 1989-Summary" (copy attached) . She noted that Mr. Mathews <br /> had prepared this document. It was further noted that <br /> currently the cost recovery is at approximately 61% and if <br /> the proposed Bill would be passed that the projected cost <br /> recovery would be approximately 90 <br /> Several questions were raised by the Committee members and <br /> addressed. Following further discussion Council Member <br /> Coleman made a motion seconded by Council Member Slavinskas <br /> that Bill No. 20-89 be recommended favorably to Council. <br /> The motion passed. <br /> There being no further business to come before the Committee <br /> the meeting was adjourned at 4:50 p.m. <br /> Respectfully submitted, <br /> Council Member John Voorde, Chair Person <br /> JV:srk <br /> Attachment <br />
