Mr. Warren Bauer stated that he had been at a recent meeting <br /> where the smoke detector and Guardian Angel matters were <br /> discussed. <br /> Council Member Niezgodski stated that there is a State <br /> statute on the books which permits citizens to make an <br /> arrest with regard to a felony and that he would oppose any <br /> type of an agreement being entered into between the City and <br /> the Guardian Angels. Council Member Duda stated similar <br /> concerns and felt that greater public awareness and interest <br /> of the group is important. Council Member Puzzello stated <br /> that in light of the extensive training which police <br /> officers must go through and the lack of training with the <br /> Guardian Angels that she would prefer that there be no <br /> agreement with the Guardian Angels at this time.
