ORDINANCE NO. ~ ~ 3 ~ _ ~ AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE 2007 SALARY ORDINANCE FIXING MAXIMUM SALARIES AND WAGES OF APPOINTED OFFICERS AND NON- BARGAINING EMPLOYEES OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, IN FOR THE CALENDAR YEAR 2007 STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT The South Bend Common Council passed Ordinance No. 9698-06 on September 11, 2006. It has now become necessary to amend the 2007 Salary Ordinance in order to make title changes, salary adjustments, and error corrections. All proposed changes and corrections will cause no increases in the 2007 budget. NOW, THEREOFRE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH as follows: SECTION I: The following corrections are hereby submitted: The "Director of Budgeting & Financial Reporting" set in at $57,773 is hereby changed to "Assistant Controller" and the maximum set at $65,500; The "Director of City Finances" with a salary of $57,773 is hereby changed to "Internal Auditor" and the maximum set at $50,000; The Salary of "Office Manager" is incorrectly set at $39,257 and should be set at $30,257; Add title "Assistant Director Administrative Services" that was included in the 2007 budget detail for the Building Department but inadvertently left out of the salary ordinance detail; Add title "Division Director" that was included in the 2007 budget detail for the Wastewater Department but inadvertently left out of the salary ordinance detail: SECTION II. If any one or more of the provisions of this ordinance or of the subparts of the previous Section I shall for any reason be held to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable in any respect, such invalidity, illegality or unenforceability shall not affect any other provision hereof, and this ordinance shall be construed as if such invalid, illegal or unenforceable provision was not contained therein.
