OJ nmm port <br /> tip Common on e0 of tip ettg of F.►m*t( gnu): <br /> ZONING AND VACATION COMMITTEE <br /> The April 11, 1988 meeting of the Zoning and Vacation <br /> Committee was called to order by its Chairman Councilman Lee <br /> Slavinskas at 5:05 p.m. in the Council informal meeting <br /> room. <br /> Persons in attendance included Councilmen: Luecke, <br /> Niezgodski, Soderberg, Puzzello, Slavinskas, Coleman, Duda, <br /> and Voorde, Jim Wensits, Don Ross, Julie Curry, Doug <br /> Carpenter, Mark and Jessica Kaczmarek and Kathleen Cekanski- <br /> Farrand. <br /> Councilman Slavinskas noted that the purpose of the meeting <br /> was to review two Bill's on the agenda namely Bill No. 6-88 <br /> and 7-88. <br /> Councilman Slavinskas noted that there was a substitute <br /> version of Bill 6-88 which would rezone the property located <br /> at 1613 South Chapin from "A" Residential, "A" Height and <br /> Area to "B" Residential, "A" Height and Area. He further <br /> noted that the Area Plan Commission at its public hearing on <br /> February 15, gave a favorable recommendation to the proposed <br /> re-zoning. <br /> Mr. & Mrs. Mark Kaczmarek then briefly reviewed the purpose <br /> of the rezoning. They noted that the property was purchased <br /> by them at a Sheriff's sale. They wish to remodel the <br /> structure so that four apartments can be located within it. <br /> There would be ingress and egress from both an interior and <br /> exterior stairway. It was noted that the structure has been <br /> vacant for approximately five to six years and that it would <br /> take between four to six months to remodel. He further <br /> noted that there would be two two-bedroom apartments and two <br /> one-bedroom apartments. Mrs. Kaczmarek then read a formal <br /> statement to tfi4 Council and noted that blueprints of the <br /> facility would be provided at the caucus meeting. <br /> Councilman Coleman noted that the Council should look at <br /> whether the structure is capable of being a single family <br /> dwelling unit. He noted that he does not believe that it is <br /> and it was further noted that the structure had a commercial <br /> use on the first floor at some point in time. <br /> It was noted that since Councilman Zakrzewski, the District <br /> Councilman for the area was not present for the Committee <br /> meeting that the Committee may wish to defer action at this <br /> time.
