Our team will be led by Project Manager, Stephan Summers. We have developed a firm understanding of the scope of construction knowledge and communication skills necessary for the delivery of an outstanding final product. This has been done through review of the plans, visits to the project site, and discussions with the City. OUR LADY OF HUNGARY NEIGHBORHOOD SIDEWALKS Des 2100025 UNDERSTANDING We value your trust in us to serve as the representative of the City. Our past experience with several SRTS projects, including LaSalle and Marquette, have involved many residents and business owners, as well as heavy traffic routes with extensive utility work. This demonstrates that the City can have confidence in our ability to do this work successfully. While the implementation of these sidewalks is a relatively simple project, it will have made a massive improvement towards increasing the safety and connectivity for the Our Lady of Hungary neighborhood residents. SIDEWALK ASSESSMENT • Sidewalks will be at least 5’ wide. • Sidewalks will be designed to avoid existing utilities to avoid associated costs and potential utility conflicts. • Sidewalks will meet ADA requirements for slope and curb ramps at intersections. DRAINAGE ASSESSMENT: • Existing drainage will be maintained to avoid any major utility changes and associated costs. • Minor structure adjustments may be necessary near curb ramp areas. • Sufficient borrow quantities are often neglected for areas of sidewalk needing to be raised to maintain proper drainage. Borrow can also eliminate the need for return curb/block wall in certain cases. PAVEMENT ASSESSMENT: • 2’ wide HMA surface patches are often necessary in front of curb ramps and approach installations due to pavement separation at time of concrete & asphalt removal. MAINTENANCE-OF-TRAFFIC (MOT) ASSESSMENT: • Pedestrian MOT will be provided using newly constructed sidewalks along all roadways that have been identified as needing to be updated to ADA standards or have no existing walks/ramps all- together.
