JI)', l <br />CITY CLERK, SOU f'H bEND, lN <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, <br />APPROPRIATING ADDITIONAL FUNDS FOR CERTAIN DEPARTMENTAL AND C][TY <br />SERVICES OPERATIONS FOR THE YEAR 2022 OF $183,000 FROM THE LAW <br />ENFORCEMENT CONTINUING EDUCATION FUND (#220), $7,800,000 FROM THE LOCAL <br />INCOME TAX -ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT FUND (#408), $180,000 FROM THE SEW AGE <br />WORKS OPERATING FUND (#641), AND $347,697 FROM THE EQUQIPMENTNEHICLE <br />LEASING FUND (#750) <br />STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT <br />The Common Council passed the City's 2022 operating and capital budgets via Ordinance #10814- <br />21 , passed on October 11 , 2021 , which included expenditures for various City operations. It is now <br />necessary to appropriate additional funds for operational and capital expenditures necessary for the City to <br />effect provision of services to its citizens which were not anticipated at the time the City budget was adopted. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of South Bend, <br />Indiana , as follows: <br />Section I. The following amounts are hereby appropriated in fiscal year 2022 and set apart within <br />the following designated funds for expenditures as follows: <br />FUND <br />Law Enforcement Continuing Education (#2 20) <br />Local Income Tax Economic Development (#408) <br />Sewage Works Operating (#641) <br />Equipment/Vehicle Leasing (#750) <br />TOTAL <br />Amount <br />183 ,000 <br />7 ,8 00,000 <br />180,000 <br />347 ,697 <br />$ 8,510,697 <br />Section II .
