They <br /> would like to receive a one year extension on the abatement. They have already exceeded their projected <br /> payroll amount of$641,000. The company has made investments in equipment in excess of$9,000,000. <br /> They intend to ivest a total of$15,600,000.The project is expected to create 14 new jobs. South Bend Gear, <br /> LLC meets the qualifications for a five year personal property tax abatement, and a representative of the <br /> company will be available to meet with the Committee on Monday, January 14, 2012. <br /> To accomplish this request, a tax abatement recipient must notify the Council in writing and submit a <br /> revised Statement of Benefits (Form SB-1). Attached you will find a letter from the company's <br /> representative, Andrea Scanavini, requesting the one year extension of the abatement.
