Olnmmtttrr Squirt <br /> • <br /> en to Cm= Qlounal of tipe O1tttt /Alma!, Lnd: PARK AND RECREATION COMMITTEE <br /> The October 13, 1986 meeting of the Park and Recreation Committee <br /> was called to order by its Chairman, Councilman James Barcome at 4 : 00 <br /> p.m. in the Council informal meeting room. <br /> Persons in attendance included: Councilmen Beck, Serge, Braboy, <br /> Voorde, Barcome, Paszek, and Puzzello; Dave Roose, Bob Neizgodski, • <br /> members of the news media and Kathleen Cekanski-Farrand.- <br /> Councilman Barcome noted that the purpose of the meeting was to <br /> discuss: Bill No. 102-86 which would appropriate $232, 300 from the General <br /> Park_ Fund to Account No. 01. 0399. 0 Other Contractural Services in the <br /> Park. Maintenance Fund. <br /> Councilman Barcome then called upon David Roose to give a brief <br /> explanation of the bill. Mr. Roose noted that he was providing a <br /> substitute version of Bill No. 102-86 which would amend the Statement of <br /> Purpose and Intent and would broaden the overall purposes for the <br /> expenditures. <br /> Several Councilmembers questioned the role of the bond issue in <br /> . the amount of $5. 25 million dollars and it was not certain whether the <br /> new tax law- would. treat such expenditure as taxable or non-taxable <br /> for Security Pacific. It was noted in response to Councilman Paszek' s <br /> question that the money was in an account which would draw interest. <br /> Following further discussion, Councilman Serge made a motion <br /> seconded by Councilman Paszek that substitute version of Bill No. 102-86 <br /> go to Council favorably. The motion passed unanimously. <br /> There being no further business to come before the Committee <br /> the meeting was adjourned at 4 : 10 p.m. <br /> Respectfully submitted, <br /> James Barcome,.
