He noted that the bids for excavation work had
already be sought and that a package was in place for such work. The
appropriations would cover such excavation, engineering work which is part
of the project and part of the construction. A total of $286 , 000 was
. needed for excavation which would be funded by these two bills as well as
TIF funding. He noted that Cable Franchise fees were included within the
funds . Mr. Vance also noted that the Cable Franchise Fee at 3% generated
aproximately $120, 000 and effected September 1 of last year the 5% rate
would generate approximately $220, 000. He noted that approximately $600, 000
would be unappropriated in the Revenue Sharing Fund after this appropriation.
Following discussion, Councilman Paszek made a motion seconded by
Councilman Beck that Bill Nos. 56-86 and 56-86 go to Council favorably.
The motion passed unanimously.
There being no further business to come before the Council the
meeting was adjourned at 3: 50 p .m.
Respectfully submitted,
Councilman James Barcome
Chairman Parks Committee
•
nest •Rt1I PLI111.111141NO CO.
