alnmmttlrr Erpnr 1 <br /> • <br /> Mn At Common &until of Mfg of boutli Nrnb: UTILITIES COMMITTEE <br /> The April 28, 1986 meeting of the Utilities Committee was called <br /> to order by its Chairman, Councilman Joseph Serge at 3:45 p.m. in the <br /> Council informal meeting room. <br /> • Persons in attendance included: Councilmen* Taylor, Serge, Beck, <br /> and Zakrzewski; John Leszczynski, and Kathleen Cekanski-Farrand. <br /> Councilman Serge noted that the purpose of the meeting was to <br /> review Bill No. 45-86 which would establish a schedule of discharge permit <br /> fees. . • <br /> Mr. Leszczynski noted that the fees were mandated by the <br /> Environmental Protection Agency. It would affect industries within the <br /> area. Approximately 14 industries would have to receive a permit under <br /> this new Section. <br /> The permit is based on the number .of discharges. It would be a <br /> five year permit with $500 . 00 for the first and $100. 00 for each year <br /> thereafter. <br /> Councilman Zakrzewski noted that this ' ordinance .would be the next <br /> step with regard to industrial discharges which were earlier considered <br /> by the Council. <br /> Following discussion Councilman Taylor made a motion seconded by <br /> Councilman Beck that Bill No.45-86 go to Council favorably. The motion <br /> passed .unanimously. <br /> There being no further business to come before the Committee, the <br /> meeting was adjourned at 3:55 p.m. <br /> Respectfully submitted, <br /> Joseph Serge, Chairman <br />
