fcnm n urt Evart <br /> a!u the ennui= atonal oft * fdt Df twitfh tttd: ZONING AND VACATION COMMITTEE <br /> The April 1, 1986 meeting of the Zoning and Vacation Committee was <br /> called to order by its Chairman Councilman John Voorde at 3:20 p.m. in <br /> the Council_ informal meeting room. <br /> Persons in attendance included: Councilmen Serge, Voorde, Beck, <br /> and Zakrzewski, Jim Beck, Larry iiagliozzi, and Kathleen Cekanski-Farrand <br /> Councilman noted that the purpose of the meeting was to review Bill <br /> No. 7-86 which would rezone the area located at 1735 East Calvert. <br /> The petition is seeking a rezoning from A Residential A height in area <br /> to C Commercial A height in area. It received a favorable recommendation <br /> from the Area Plan Commission. <br /> Mr. Magliozzi noted that the commercial building has been a legal <br /> non-conforming use since the 1920 ' s. He further noted that there were no <br /> remonstrators present at the Area Plan Commission meeting, however he did <br /> note that a written letter in opposition to the proposed rezoning was <br /> received from a Lorraine Witter. <br /> Councilman Beck noted that the building has always had. a._commercial <br /> use within it. - The proposed use nowt could be for a pizza restaurant.;and <br /> carry-out. Mr. Jim Beck then showed a video tape of the area in question <br /> for the Committee members. <br /> • <br /> Following questions by Committee members, Councilman Serge made a <br /> motion seconded by Councilman Zakrzewski that Bill No. 7-86 go to Council <br /> favorably.
