ftnnuntttn Enloe <br /> pnr# <br /> QJu tke (dnmmon Qiourwil of Op (QV of Boutt iirnh: PERSONNEL AND FINANCE COMMITTEE <br /> The August 5, 1985 meeting of the Personnel and Finance <br /> Committee was called to order by its chairman, Councilman Puzzello at <br /> 3;55 p.m. in the :Council informal meeting room. <br /> Person in attendance included, Councilmen Beck, Braboy, Paszek, <br /> Puzzello, Zakrzewski, Voorde, and Serge; Brian Hedman, Tom Brubaker, <br /> Eugenia Schwartz, Mike Vance, Carol Sanders, Bruce Bancroft, and Kathleen <br /> Cekanski-Farrand. <br /> Councilman Puzzello noted that the first bill for consideration was <br /> Bill No. 90-85 which would appropriate $231,112 from the Morris Civic <br /> Auditorium Improvement. Fund to facilitate expansion and upgrading of the <br /> services at the auditorium. <br /> Mr. Brubaker_ then reviewed the project descriptions of the expansion <br /> of the Morris Civic Auditorium into the Palais Royale (copy attached) . <br /> Mr. Bancroft showed sketches of the project and noted that the name <br /> Palais Royale would be retained as well as the ballroom being renovated <br /> to the way it was in the 1920' s. <br /> • <br /> The City would receive income from the area it would pay rent on <br /> ($85,000 per year rental amount) , Phase I is anticipated to be completed <br /> by December 31, 1985. <br /> Councilman Braboy made a motion seconded by Councilman Serge that <br /> Bill No.90-85 go to Council favorably. The motion passed unanimously. <br /> Carol Sanders then reviewed Bill No. 92-85 which would appropriate <br /> $1.3600,241. 00 of Revenue Sharing for the 1985 Police and Fire Pension <br /> costs. She- noted that' next year this obligation would be paid by property <br /> taxes. Approximately $1,560,000 is being received in Revenue Sharing for <br /> 1985. <br /> Following discusssion, Councilman Serge made a motion seconded by <br /> Councilman Beck that Bill No. 92-85 go to Council favorably.
