entttudttnn n}t <br /> ?fin Slit fdnmmnn Coundl of tlpe fdttg of£► Snit: ZONING AND VACATION COMMITTEE <br /> The January 14, 1985 meeting of the Zoning and Vacation Committee <br /> was called to order by its Chairman John Voorde at 5 : 10 D.M. in the <br /> Council informal meeting room. <br /> Persons in attendance included: Councilmen Puzzello, Serge , <br /> Zakrzewski, Paszek, Braboy, Crone, and Voorde, Doug Carpenter, Glenda <br /> Rae Hernandez, and Kathleen Cekanski-Farrand. <br /> Councilman Voorde noted that the City Clerk' s office received a <br /> letter today from Mr. John W. :Zeilger who is the petitioner for the <br /> zoning change proposed for 146 East North Shore Drive which is Bill N . <br /> 107-84. Mr. Zeigler requested that the bill be withdrawn ( copy of <br /> letter attached) . Following discussion, Councilman Zakrzewski made a <br /> motion seconded by Councilman Puzzello that Bill No. 107-84 be struck from <br /> the agenda at the petitioner's request. The motion nassed unanimously. <br /> Councilman Voorde then reviewed the Area Plan report dated <br /> November 20, 1934 for Bill No 111-84 which is the rezoning for the property <br /> located at 501, 503, and 507 East Ohio, Because a new legal description <br /> was necessary a substitute bill was on file with the Clerk' s office. <br /> The petitioner is seeking a zoning change from B-Residential B height <br /> in area to D light industrial F height in area The Proposed use would <br /> be a storage and warehouse facility. The petitioner was not present <br /> for the meeting. <br /> Glenda Rae Hernandez voiced concern over the closeness of the <br /> property to residential areas . Mr. Doug Carpenter questioned what the <br /> height of the building would be. He noted that a major change in the site <br /> plan would be caught by the Building Commissioner and would require the <br /> petitioner to go back to the Area Plan Commission. Councilman Zakrzewski <br /> also voiced concern regarding the height of the building. <br /> Following discussion, Councilman Zakrzewski made a motion seconded <br /> by Councilman Puzzello that Bill No. 111-84 (Substitute verison) be continued <br /> at the public hearing if the petitioner is not present, and in light of <br /> several unanswered questions that the Bill go to Council without <br /> recommendation.
