Vacation Committee <br /> was held in the Council Informal Meeting Room. <br /> Persons in attendance included: Councilmen Serge, Puzzello, Crone, <br /> Voorde, Beck, Brayboy, Zakrzewski, and Paszek; Joseph Kernan, Attorney John <br /> Ford, Mr. John Blower, Members of the News Media, and Kathleen- Cekanski-Farrand. <br /> The Chairman of the Committee John Voorde called the meeting to order <br /> at 5 :00 p.m. He noted that the purpose of the meeting was to review two bills <br /> sent to Committee for recommendation. He then called upon Mr. Ford to present <br /> the bills. <br /> Mr. Ford reviewed Bill No 133-83 which would vacate an east-west <br /> alley near Minor, Cedar, St. Peter and St. Louis Streets. He also reviewed <br /> Bill No 134-83 which would vacate the east-west alley in the half-block area <br /> by South Bend Avenue, Cedar and St. Louis Streets. He noted that his client <br /> the St. Joseph Medical Center, Inc. is desirous of the alley vacations in order <br /> to provide adequate parking for two (2) physicians' office building in that <br /> immediate area He further noted that a dedication of a six by fifty-four foot <br /> parcel of property would be dedicated as a permanent easement and right-of-way <br /> .which would effect Bill No 134-83. <br /> Following discussion by the Committee, 'the Council Attorney was directed <br /> to prepare the necessary amendment to. Bill No 134-83 for incorporation. <br /> Councilman Beck made a motion seconded by Councilman Puzzello that <br /> Bill No 133-33, and Bill No 134-83 as amended be recommended favorably to <br /> Council.
