INTER-OFFICE MEMORANDUM DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS DIVISION OF ENGINEERING TO: Anne Fuchs, Clerk and Members of the Board of Public Works FROM: Becca Plantz SUBJECT: Recommendation for Selection of Guaranteed Energy Savings Contract Provider for Morris Performing Arts Center Agreement DATE: October 26, 2021 On behalf of the review committee I would like to recommend the provider for the Morris Performing Arts Center Guaranteed Energy Savings Contract be Ameresco, Inc.. After careful review of evaluations from the review committee based upon all submissions to the Request for Qualifications and presentations and interviews by the top three candidates, Ameresco, Inc. was chosen by collaborative scoring by the review committee as per the RFQ in October 2017. I confirm that advertisements for the RFQ were published, two addendums were published, four applications were received and reviewed, interviews were performed for those considered qualified, and a selection was made. Qualification applications were received from Ameresco, Inc., EMCOR Construction Services, Inc., Honeywell International, Inc., and Siemens Industry, Inc. Ameresco, Inc. offers a local presence and a strong portfolio of successful local government performance contracts in Indiana, including South Bend. Representatives of these projects give highly positive reviews for working with Ameresco, Inc. under a performance contracting model. I ask that the Board of Public Works approve the accompanying resolution, which will ratify the recommendation of the review committee and authorize an Energy Savings Agreement with Ameresco, Inc. to execute the energy savings project
