CITY OF SOUTH BEND I HISTORIC PRESERVATION COMMISSION <br />(Audio Position: 17:19) <br />The staff report was presented by Adam Toering. <br />Staff Recommendation: Staff recommends dividing the project into five components, as outlined <br />in the above staff report: <br />COA 2021-1029A-1— Landscaping: Staff recommends approval. <br />COA 2021-1029A-2 — Garage Modifications: Staff recommends approval. <br />COA 2021-1029A-3 — Installation of another door on the side porch: Starr would ask the <br />Commission to request modifications to this proposal, specifically the use of a salvaged door in <br />lieu of a fiberglass door. <br />COA 2021-1029A-4 —Addition of Windows to Living Room: Staff makes no recommendation. <br />COA 2021 -1029A -S — Replacement of Windows: Staff recommends denial. <br />The applicant was represented by: <br />Randy Davis, 710 Park Ave South Bend, IN 46616. <br />The public was represented by: <br />N/A <br />After due consideration, the following action was taken: <br />Upon a motion by Elizabeth Hertel, seconded by Sarah Andrews, and unanimously carried by <br />vote, the Historic Preservation Commission approves the splitting of the petition into five parts <br />(A1 -A5). <br />Vote: 8-0. Eight in Favor, none opposed. <br />Motion is approved. <br />Upon a motion by Joan Downs-Krostenko, seconded by Sarah Andrews, and unanimously carried <br />by vote, the Historic Preservation Commission APPROVES Certificate of Appropriateness <br />Application #2021-1029A-1. <br />Vote: 8-0. Eight in favor, none opposed <br />COA#2021-1029A-1 is approved. <br />Upon a motion by David Wyncott, seconded by Elizabeth Hertel, and carried by vote, the Historic <br />Preservation Commission APPROVES Certificate of Appropriateness Application #2021-1029A-2 <br />Vote: 7-0-1. Seven in favor, none opposed, one recused <br />COA#2021-1029A-2 is approved. <br />Upon a motion by Elizabeth Hertel, seconded by David Wyncott, and unanimously carried by <br />vote, the Historic Preservation Commission APPROVES Certificate of Appropriateness Application <br />#2021-1029A-3 <br />Page 12 <br />
