(IInmmtifrr Nona <br /> • <br /> Qin 2ttt tltnmmnn Count-II of Or 0144 of f3nud1i limb: Park Committee <br /> The November 5 1984 meeting of the Parir Committee was called <br /> to order at 5: 10 p.m, in the Council informal meeting room by its <br /> chairman, Councilman Joseph Serge. <br /> Persons in attendance included: Councilmen: Crone, Serge, <br /> Pasek, Taylor, Braboy, Zakrzewski, Voorde, Beck and Puzzello , Jim <br /> Seitz, Mike Vance, Bob Niezgodski, and Kathleen Cekanski-Farrand. <br /> Councilman Serge noted that the Purpose of the meeting was to <br /> discuss bill Nos . 117 and 118. <br /> sir. Seitz stated that Bill No. 117 would appropriate $30,000 <br /> for the General Park Fund to the Park Maintenance Fund. Expenses <br /> are necessary because of approximately $15 ,000 in electrical ,costs <br /> and a like amount for salaries and wages. He noted that the <br /> electrical account is presently $70, 000 short, A majority of the <br /> money shortage is related to the East ':ace, He estimated that <br /> approximately $50,000 is needed to keep the East ?'pace open for an . <br /> entire summer. Electric bills are paid monthly and the ,majority <br /> is metered. Following further discussion by the Comm.itte Councilman. <br /> Voorde'made a motion seconded by Councilman Puzzello that Bill No <br /> 117 go to Council favorably. . The lotion passed favorably. <br /> Mr. Nieegodski then reviewed Bill iTo. 118-84 which would <br /> apprppriate. $45 ,000 within the City Cemetery Trust Fund, He <br /> passed around pictures of the sub-standard building where equipment <br /> has been stored. The money would be used for a concrete block <br /> storage building which has been suggested by the Engineering Dept. <br /> There would be no windows in it and it would be as maintenance free <br /> and vandal proof as possible. The money is there interest earned <br /> by the perpetual -funds and not tax dollars Following discussion <br /> councilman Puzzello made a motion seconded by Councilman Voorde. <br /> that Bill No 118-84 go to Council .favorably.
