Mrs. Rosenfeld then passed out
a summary sheet which described the activities affected by the appropriations
(copy attached) .
Councilman Beck then asked several questions regarding Max' s
Grocery Store. The Committee was informed that outside work only was in the
process of being done. That an investment tax credit where up to 25% could
be credited was being used as an incentive tool to market the property.
Mr. Gibney stated that he believed it was psychologically important to have thi
building in the. neighborhood. Several questions were then asked by
Councilmen Puzzello and Taylor. Councilman Crone noted that the City made
committments to this project and that since contracts had already be entered
into that the City should continue its committment to the project.
Following further discussion and questioning by the Committee
Councilman Beck made a motion seconded by Councilman Taylor that Bill No.
13-84 be recommended favorable to Council. The motion passed unanimously.
Councilman Braboy noted that in light of the lateness of the hour
and that a minimum of 30 minutes would be required to review the guidelines
for Community Development money by Mrs. Rosenfeld and her staff , that a special
meeting would be set up by her Committee. The Committee agreed to this
recommendation.
Councilman Beck made a motion seconded by Councilman Taylor that
the meeting be adjourned.
