QntltittinPP Erpnrt <br /> Uhl fig Gnomon Qlounril of Or OJttg of if Poutll Pttd: PERSONNEL AND FINANCE COMMITTEE <br /> The October 10, 1983 meeting of the Personnel and Finance Committee <br /> was called to order by its Chairman, Councilman Joseph Serge at 5 :00 p.m. in <br /> the Council Informal Meeting Room. <br /> ,Persons in attendance were Councilmen Serge, Beck, Szymkowiak, Zielinski, <br /> Harris, Crone, Voorde; Larry Johnson, Jim Wensits, and Kathleen Cekanski-Farrand <br /> Councilman Serge noted that the purpose of the meeting was to review <br /> Bill No. 110-83 which would transfer $7, 738. 00 between various accounts <br /> within the Equal Opportunity Housing Authority of the Human Rights Commission. <br /> Mr. Johnson noted-that the transfer of the HUD appropriation would help <br /> in the efficiency of his office. They are planning to purchase an IBM <br /> computer which would be separate from the City' s computer system. <br /> Councilman Szymkowiak thought that the department was running well without <br /> a computer. Councilman Voorde noted that within the proposed CD Budget <br /> the $50, 000 request was being cut to $13, 500. Mr. Johnson noted that this <br /> will result in additional clerical personnel not being hired and various <br /> educational programs would not be implemented. <br /> Upon further discussion, Councilman Zielinski seconded by Councilman <br /> Harris that Bill No. 110-83 go to Council favorably.
