a4mm ttUrt iWort PERSONNEL AND FINANCE COMMITTEE <br /> The June 27, 1983 meeting of the Personnel and Finance Committee was <br /> called to order at 5:45 p.m. by its Chairman, Councilman Joseph Serge in <br /> the Council informal meeting room. <br /> The persons in attendance included Councilmen Voorde, Harris, <br /> Zielinski, Taylor, Beck, Serge, Szymkowiak, and McGann, Colleen Rosenfeld, <br /> Jon Hunt, Bonnie Strycker, and Kathleen Cekanski-Farrand. <br /> Councilman Serge noted that the purpose of the meeting was to discuss <br /> two bills sent to his committee for review and recommendation. <br /> Bonnie Strycker explained that Bill No. 50-83 would appropriate $41,128 <br /> from the Youth Service Fund for various operating expenses. The Committee <br /> discussed the need of the appropriation, and Councilman Szymkowiak mentioned <br /> that he has received several complaints of residents in the neighborhood <br /> where employees park directly in front of their property thereby eliminating <br /> the property owner' s right to park. Ms.Strycker stated that she would look <br /> into the matter. <br /> Mrs. Rosenfeld then explained Bill No 54-83 which would transfer <br /> $314,622 among various accounts within the Division of Community Development. <br /> She brought a substitute bill which amended the amount for the Bureau of <br /> Housing. <br /> Following further discussion, Councilman Zielinski made a motion seconded <br /> by Councilman Serge to recommend Bill No 50-83 favorably to Council. The <br /> motion passed unanimously. Councilman Zielinski then made a motion to <br /> recommend the substitute verison of Bill No 54-83 favorably to Council. It <br /> was seconded by Councilman Harris.
