Human Resources and Economic Development Committee
that the building was the old Superior Concrete operation.
Mr. McMahon noted that he had talked with the Council Attorney
regarding this matter and proposed language to-aspecific amendment which
might be considered by the Council (attached) . The Council Attorney noted
that the amendment would allow the Council to review, on a case by case
basis whether the residential footage requirement may be waived in specific
instances. Such factors as whether the operation is done within a structure
and whether it has complied with the majority of the footage requirement,
may be factors which the Council would look into. Following further
discussion, Councilman Harris made a motion, seconded by Councilman Beck
to refer this matter to the Council Attorney for an appropriate ordinance.
There being no further business to come before the Committee, the meeting
was adjourned at 5 :00 p.m.
Respectfully Submitted,
Robert Taylor, Chairman
