fllmmtit nr a Erpnrt <br /> On 217e Olnmmnn (Qouurii of tlir QJtty of Onutil limit HUMAN RESOURCES AND ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT <br /> COMMITTEE <br /> The August 30, 1982 meeting of the Human Resources and Economic <br /> Development Committee was called to order by Councilman John Voorde in the <br /> Council Meeting Room. <br /> Persons in attendance included Councilman Szymkowiak, McGann, Voorde, <br /> Crone, Serge, Taylor, Zielinski and Harris ; Eugenia Schwartz, Jon Hunt, <br /> and Kathleen Cekanski-Farrand, and Richard Mintz. <br /> The purpose of the meeting was to review Resolutions 9B and 9C <br /> dealing with tax abatement petitions for New Energy and Resolution 9A dealing <br /> with tax abatement for the Airport Industrial Park. <br /> Councilman Voorde reviewed the report of the Redevelopment Commission <br /> wherein the Commission approved the personal- and real tax abatement petition <br /> filed by New Energy at its August 27, 1982 meeting. Following discussion <br /> by the Committee, Councilman McGann made a motion seconded by Councilman <br /> Crone that Resolutions 9B and 9C be recommended favorably to the Common <br /> Council. Motion passed 4-0 . <br /> Councilman Voorde then reviewed the Redevelopment Counllission report <br /> of August 27, 1982 which approved phases 4 and 5 of the Airport Industrial <br /> Park as a tax abatement impact area. It was noted that the original request <br /> included all five phases . Following discussion Councilman McGann made a <br /> motion seconded by Councilman Taylor recommending Resolution 9A favorable to <br /> the Council so that phases 4 and 5 of the Airport Industrial Park be designated <br /> as tax abatement impact areas .
