tdnmmfttrr Erpnri <br /> (aro ti't ((Inm nwn Commit of Or 011ty of$outli lirnd: PERSONNEL AND FINANCE COMMITTEE <br /> The September 27, 1982 meeting of the Personnel and Finance . <br /> Committee Meeting was called to order by its chairman, Councilman Crone at <br /> 5: 00 p.m. in the Council Meeting Room. <br /> Persons in attendance included: Councilmen Voorde, Harris, <br /> Szymkowiak, McGann, Serge, and Crone; Fire Chief Tim Brassel, and Kathleen <br /> -Cekanski-Farrand. <br /> Purpose of the meeting was to review Bill No. 103-82 which would <br /> appropriate $37, 800 from the Emergency Medical Services Fund. <br /> Chief Brassel explained that the money would be used to rebuild <br /> engine no. 11, a 1968 pumper; would replace two boilers in Station No. 17; <br /> and would replace various apparatus in the bay roof at Station No. 10. <br /> The Chief noted that the fund presently has -a balance of $97,719. 82 and <br /> if the Bill is passed the balance would be $59,919. 82, He further noted <br /> that the fund was receiving an average income of $8, 000 per month. <br /> The Committee also briefly discussed -the problem of the <br /> disintergrating walls at Station No. 10 (Ireland Road) .. It was noted that <br /> $40, 000 of CD money has been used to put insulation into Station No. 4 as <br /> well as to replace windows. The two new fire trucks should be received in <br /> April or May of 1983. <br /> Following further discussion by the Committee, Councilman McGann <br /> made a motion seconded by Councilman Voorde that Bill No_. 103-82 be <br /> recommended favorably to the Common Council.
